After having received advanced training and excelling in many fields, Myleene started her professional career by providing backup vocals for artists like Michael Crawford, Robbie Williams and K.D. Lang. She went on to tour with Cliff Richard for a period of about two months. She featured in a reality show called the “Doll house” in 1998. Myleene Klass appeared on stage in the late November of 1999 with Cliff Richard on “ITV1 An audience with TV special”. In July of 2000, she acted as a coach for dance and drama alongside two others in the TV programme Stagecoach Theatre Arts Little performers Holiday workshop presentation. Getting involved in a variety of high profile work, Myleene Klass went on to perform in the musical “Miss Saigon” in West End theatre. After receiving her first taste of recognition, Myleene Klass got her well deserved big break when she auditioned for the British TV pop star reality show “Pop Stars”.
As the name suggests Pop Stars was a reality show aimed at promoting talented, unknown deserving young musicians, and the best were selected to form their own pop band. Myleene Klass braved through the trials against 4000 contestants and won her way amongst the top 10 finalists, creating the pop band “HearSay” along with members Danny foster, Suzanne Shaw, Kym Marsh and Noel Sullivan. HearSay topped the charts with the release of their first single ”Pure and Simple” which went on to sell 1.3 million copies and was the fastest selling non charitable record ever. This record was only beaten years later by the winner of Pop Idol, Will Young. HearSay’s album as a whole went on to sell 1.2 million copies in the UK alone. From then Hearsay grew exponentially. “Hearsay its Saturday” features the bands own TV show, thus increasing their popularity. During the broadcast of the show, Hearsay got opportunities to perform with well known artists like Lionel Richie, Blue, Atomic Kitten, Celine Dion and Bradley Walsh. HearSay went on to make guest appearances in many television shows, live performance venues etc alongside with making their own TV shows like “HearSay: A New Chapter in Full & the Hearsay story”. However all good things must come to an end and so did the band. Personal rivalry between Myleene Klass and Marsh resulted in her leaving the band in 2002 to be replaced by Jonny Shental. Shortly afterwards the band broke up altogether on 13 May 2003. Moving On: The Hit album On 15 February 2004, almost a year after the break up of HearSay, Myleene Klass committed to a five album deal with Universal Classics and Jazz. She recorded the first promotional single for the album and worked on finishing the album within a couple of months. Universal started her promotion with ”Toccata and Fugue” the main promotional single which went on to appear on “The box’, the British music television channel. It was the first ever classical piece to appear on that channel. Continuing her five album deal, Myleene launched her album “Moving on’ on 20 October at Harrods, London. Moving on was launched in a big way with performances like Toccata, Fugue and Moonlight. Myleene Klass went on to sign autographs for her adoring fans along with a press photo shoot.
By May 2004 the album received nominations in the Classical Brit awards as the “People’s Album of the Year”. For “Moving on” Myleene had put together popular classical pieces from some well known artists like Faure’s Pavane, Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata and Satie’s Gymnopedie No.2 and reworked them. In the album Myleene Klass also went on to include theme songs from some Oscar winning movies like “Now we are free” from Gladiator and “The Piano” by Michael Nyman. Linkin park’s “Crawling” and Daniel Bedingfields “If you’re not the one” were pop tracks recorded for the album. After rumors started emerging, which were later confirmed by Myleene herself, of a re-release of “Moving on”. However this never happened and the plans got cancelled but the basis of the rumors came from the conflicts between Klass’s new and old management companies. However she went on to include three new songs to her already existing album being trouble, Sahara and Le onde. It was around this time that with a change in Myleene’s management companies, she started thinking of entering into the pop world with a change from her classical music. In her confusion she announced that she would soon be working on the release of a new pop album. However nothing was heard about the release again. Entry into EMI Classics: On 28 March 2007, Myleene made a commitment with the giant EMI classics as a recording artist and to act as an ambassador to EMI Classics UK roster of artist along with celebrities like Natalie Clein, Natasha Marsh and Alfie Boe. The deal stated that EMI would release a series of albums which would feature two exclusive tracks performed by Klass along with a few of her favorite classical numbers that she could choose from the EMI Classic back catalogue. Kleen’s first album Myleene’s Music for “Romance” under this deal was released on 2 July 2007 which made it to #1 on the classical charts. Lead photographer Mitch Jenkins shot the photo session that was included in the album. Klass went on to shoot a music video to accompany the first track at the Bucharest Opera House. Myleene’s second album featured two tracks being “America” from West side Story and “Chi Mai” written by Ennio Morricone and was released on 18 February 2008. Non Music career

She changed her management company from Mel Bush organization to Shalit Global that continues to look out for her best interests till today. “The vagina monologues” was the first long running play that Myleene featured in. She gave performances in different places like Richmond, Brighton and Bromley and was extended to feature in all performances in Nottingham. The year 2005 turned out to be very eventful for Klass. In the early months of 2005 on a number of occasions Myleene was asked to be a panelist on the tropical discussion show “The Wright stuff”. She later entered into Television on 17 September 2005 by playing host to the music show CD:UK which was broadcasted on ITV1. Later during Christmas time Myleene entered into the quiz show Mastermind, which was hosting a Celebrity special. She made all her 20 points in the first round answering all questions related to the popular series ‘Sex and the City’, but failed miserably during the last two rounds not being able to give a single correct answer. During the year 2006 Myleene was a busy bee again. In June 2006, Klass, along with the Opera babes, presented the City Showcase classical Night. Later on in August she went on to guest report a show based on the theme of religion and ethics, which was aired on Sunday mornings called ” Heaven and Earth” with Gloria Hunniford. The reports that she handed in were so good that they earned the name of Feature of the week. This earned her more appearances as a guest reporter or a special appearance in shows like LK Today section of GMTV and “The all talent show”. During this time Myleene Klass managed to dramatically lose a lot of weight and went on to talk about it on “Tonight with Trevor MacDonald” featuring Peaches Geldof. The show was based on quiries and concerns regarding body image issues and weight loss. Towards October 2006, Myleene Klass was sent to Kabul in Afghanistan as a part of the team “Daily Mirror Pride of Britain awards” which was aired on ITV1 on November 7, 2006. Myleene featured on BBC’s political show “The daily politics” in July of 2007, criticizing the British Government on their policies regarding multicultural races and lack of translation facilities. Coming from a multicultural background herself, she accused the different policies of discrimination and the pressure exerted by them on children. Later that year upon hearing of her pregnancy, Myleene decided to take a break and solely concentrate on the baby. Before doing this however she made a brief co presentation of the “One Show” with Adrian Chiles. Myleene and the Radio Alongside her already established career on television and music, In February 2006, Myleene went on to be a part time presenter on radio as well. With this show she went on to become the almost highest paid female celebrity, next to Jordan (Katie Price), to ever appear on the show by being paid £100,000. Myleene Klass was almost finishing in first place till she fell behind to Matt Willis. Since Myleene Klass received a lot of fame after being on the show, she was seen and regarded afterwards as a sex symbol. While still being in the show, which lasted for about a month, Klass began to get offers from magazines like Playboy etc to pose nude in their next edition, offering her a very handsome six figure deals. Offers to her agents started pouring in from all kinds of movies, dramas, magazines, chat lines etc. However Myleene Klass, upon the ending of the show, put up her bikini (which she had worn throughout) for auction on Ebay , which sold for £7,500 which whe donated to a charity to help victims from “Farepak saving scandal”. The show had been so widely famous that on her arrival back to the UK, Myleene Klass did a lot of talk shows, interviews and press conferences describing her feelings while on air. She was heard as saying that she had been very sexually frustrated during the one month and so would go on Cold showers to decrease her mounting frustrations, not fearing the Snakes and Spiders.
